Natural Ways To Relieve Constipation

Constipation is a condition that can cause the person suffering from it a lot of trauma. Constipation occurs for many different reasons. Lack of exercise, Stress,certain medications, artificial sweeteners and a diet that's lacking fibre or fluids can each be the culprit.  when the muscle contractions in your intestines are too slow to push the stool out of your body, or when there isn't enough water in your stool to soften it and move it through your intestines. There are a number of things you can do to relieve your constipation, from adjusting your diet to trying a few over-the-counter medications.  As you increase your intake of fibre be sure to drink lots of water_at least 8 glasses a day. If your  medical check up has cleared you of any serious conditions, you could use simple home remedies to relieve the discomfort. Here are a few of them  that can work wonders.

 Home Remedies For Constipation

(1). Lemon juice is recommended by most Ayurvedic practitioners. A warm glass of water with lemon and salt, first thing in the morning not only acts as a cleansing agent for the intestines, the salt content helps in quick and easy passage of stool.  Drink this juice on an empty stomach to relieve constipation.
(2). Spinach Leaves have properties that cleanse, rebuild and renew the intestinal tract. You can have about 100 ml of spinach juice mixed with an equal quantity of water twice daily. This home remedy is the most effective method to cure even the most stubborn cases of constipation.
(3). Take 1 tablespoon of Psyllium (Isphagol) with warm milk, It can reduce constipation.
(4). Flax seed oil is a pretty simple home remedy for constipation. Since oranges have a good amount of fibre in them. You will need 1 glass of orange juice with pulp and 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil.Mix it all equally. Drink as needed, but give it time (up to 5 hours) to start working so you don’t overdo it.
(5). Drink one glass of dried plum juice in the morning and one at night to relieve constipation. You can also eat several prunes instead of drinking the juice if you prefer.
(6). Take 8 leaves of mint and tulsi boiled in warm water and then drinking that water gives great relief from gastric and indigestion.This natural treatment is the best way to relieve constipation.
(7). In the morning consume one tablespoon of olive oil. It works best on an empty stomach, so have it before you eat anything else. If you forget, wait until later when you haven’t eaten for a while. You can mix it with a little bit of lemon juice if you like to lighten the flavor. Lemon juice also acts as a natural aid for constipation.
(8). Adding condiments like jeera, haldi and ajwain in your food while cooking it is a great way to help digestion.
(9). Try to eat some red meat or pulses, and include dark green vegetables in your meals. Ask your doctor to change you to a different brand of iron tablet.
(10). Guavas have soluble fiber in the pulp and insoluble fiber content in the seeds. They also help with the mucus production in the anus and with peristalsis (a series of contractions within the intestinal lining that helps the passage of food in the stomach).
(11). You could drink dandelion or mallow tea, made from the leaves of the plants. Steep the leaves in boiling water and drink it daily to relieve  constipation.
(12). Exercise If possible, avoid sitting down for 10 minutes and keep your body moving. Moderate to rigorous physical exercise is preferred, but even taking a low-key 30-minute walk will help your body promote healthy bowel movements.
