Natural Way To Cure Puffy Eyes With Natural Ingredients

Waking up with puffy eyes can be really frustrating. Nobody wants to have puffy eyes as it can make one look tired and ill. Swollen, red eyes can make life miserable, not to mention cause others to misinterpret your lifestyle. Puffiness under the eyes is a common symptom of allergies, lack of sleep, stress, and poor diet. If you're tired of looking sleepy or under the weather, there are plenty of things you can try to give your eyes a lift. The following is a list of ways to treat puffy eyes.

Home Remedies For Puffy Swollen Eyes  

1. Drink Water to Prevent Water

 When your body retains water, it results into swelling here and there including under eyes. So keep your body hydrated, drink lots of water. When your body gets deprived of water, it starts accumulating water as a defense. When you drink lots of water, it will automatically release water resulting in reduced puffiness
2.  Ice Cubes

Put a lots of ice cubes in a bowl filled with water and place 4 spoons in it. Take out two spoons when they are cold enough for purpose. Place them on closed eyes. When they come to normal temperature, put them again in the cold water’s bowl and take out the other two spoons. Now place these two spoon on your eyes. When warm change the spoons. Keep on doing till you see your eye puffs gone.
3. Spoons

Teaspoons are not only for having food and for measuring spices while cooking (or writing a recipe) but it is also a very effective and fast remedy to make your eye bags disappear, even if temporarily. You just have to cool off the spoons, close your eyes and place the cold spoons with curved side down on your closed eyes. There are various ways, however, to make your magic spoon cold:Place 6-8 spoons in refrigerator and when they get very cold, take them out. Place two spoon on your both the closed eyes. When they get warm, use the next two cold spoons and so on.
4.  Eyes Salt Water Treatment

While more salt in your diet can lead to formation of eye bags, the salty warm water compress can reduce the same eye bags. Follow the below steps for this remedy.Take warm water in a bowl. Ensure the water is warm and not hot. Add half teaspoon of salt in this warm water and mix well.Take two cotton balls and soak them in this salty warm water. Close your eyes and place these cotton balls over your eyes.Let them sit there till the time they get cool.
5. Cucumber

Cucumber can be used alone or in combination with other ingredients. Not only does it have a cooling effect but it also helps improve the colour of the skin around the eyes. The easiest way out is to cut a cucumber into thick slices, refrigerate them for about 30 minutes and then place lightly on your eyes.  Adding a potato juice into the cucumber juice also helps because the latter has a bleaching action that reduces the darkness of the skin. 
6. Apple Slices

The best product for puffy eyes can sometimes be as simple as a fruit normally found in your kitchen. Apple works in reducing puffy eyes because it contains tannin which is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent. Put the apple inside the refrigerator for a cooling effect that can reduce swelling or inflammation quickly when placed over your closed eyes. 
7. Rosewater

A good way to make sure that you will wake up with your eyes revived is by sleeping in a well-ventilated bedroom and using rosewater. You just need to soak two cotton pads in rosewater then wrap it with cling film before putting inside the refrigerator. Once chilled, remove the cling film and place over your closed eyes. The soothing rosewater and coldness will restrict capillaries and reduce puffiness significantly. 
8. Green Tea Bags

Green tea contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties can make your eyes cure from. Take two green tea bags as directed in a small container and put the container in the refrigerator until cool. Place the cooled tea bags over each eye for 10 – 15 minutes. It did reduce my eye puffiness more effectively than a cool washcloth.
8.  Milk Compress

I did read some claims that milk “brightens” the eyes.To use: Soak a cotton ball or pad in cold milk and place over each eye for 10 – 15 minutes. It felt nice but I didn’t notice my eyes looking brighter. 
9. Gently Massage around Eyes with Your Fingers

Puffiness under eyes are caused by excessive fluids that get trapped around your eyes. When you gently massage the area around your eyes, you help displace the trapped fluid and make it go away from under the eyes. Move your finger in arc shape from inside corner of your eye towards outside. Make 15-20 rounds. Make it a habit to massage your eyes this way every day before you get out of your bed.
10 .Exercise
This improves circulation, which will help your body move fluid through your body, rather than letting it accumulate. If you have time, go for a run, do some yoga, or simply take a brisk walk.
