Healthy Mustard Green (Bathhuay saag)


  • Mustard greens-----------------------------------------------2 kg
  • Bathhuay leaves----------------------------------------------1 kg
  • Small ferugreen leaves-------------------------------------1/2 kg
  • Garlic (chopped)--------------------------------------------1 bulb
  • Ginger (chopped)---------------------------------------------25 gram+1 table spoon
  • green chillies--------------------------------------------------50 gram
  • Maize---------------------------------------------------------1/2 cup
  • Red chillies(crushed)-----------------------------------------2 tea spoon
  • Butter--------------------------------------------------------200 gram
  • Salt----------------------------------------------------------1 tea spoon
  • Oil---------------------------------------------------------- 1/2 tea spoon


  • Boil mustard greens,bathhuay leaves,fenugreek and green chillies in a pot.
  • When vegetable are tender,add maize and salt and mash thoroughly.
  • Heat oil in a separate pot and fry garlic and 25 gram ginger;
  • Add red chillies and vegetables and fry ;dish out.
  •  Heat butter in a frying pan and fry 1 table spoon;ginger;pour on top 
  •  of dish;serve.
