Home Remedies For Lighten Dark Ankles And Knees

Baking Soda


  • Baking soda is very effective in cleaning the skin and reduces darkening of the skin. Milk bleaches and cleanses the skin Take one tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with milk Apply this paste on knees and elbows and scrub it using circular motion.Repeat the remedy once every two days. Repeat until you notice changes in the color.
  Almond Paste


  • If you spot dark ankles and knees in your legs, then you can use almond paste mixture to lighten the dark ankles.Take 10 to 15 almonds and grind it to a smooth paste in a blender by adding water. Now to this paste add a tablespoon of honey and mix it well. Apply this mixture generously over your dark ankles and leave it there either overnight or for an hour  Wash it off with cold water.
Vinegar and Curd

  • Take 2 teaspoons of vinegar and mix it with 2 teaspoons of curd.Apply it on the affected areas and massage for a few minutes.Let it dry and rinse with lukewarm water.
Gram Flour And Curd 

  • Mix Gram flour  and curd.Apply on your darkened elbow or knees.Let it be there for sometime, about 15-20 minutes.Using your fingers, rub in circular motion for about 5-10 minutes.Wash off with water.
Yogurt And Vinegar 



  • Mix yogurt and vinegar.Apply on dark knees and elbow.Leave for 20 minutes.Wash off with water.
Turmeric 



  • Mix some turmeric with milk and honey to make it a smooth paste Apply it on the dark areas and leave it there for at least 20 minutes Wet your hands and rub it for 2 minutes and then wash it off with water
Aloe Vera Gel



  • Take aloe Vera gel and apply it on dark ankles and feet. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash with warm water you will begin to see the positive results in few days.
Coconut Oil



  • Massage coconut oil for 15 – 20 minutes on your ankles and feet than wash with Luke warm water.
Almonds Powder



  • Add yogurt to coarse almond powder.Apply on black knees and elbow.Leave for 15 minutes or till it dries up.Rub gently with wet fingers.Scrub in circular motion.Wash off with water
Cucumber and Turmeric powder



  • Add a pinch of turmeric powder to a spoon of fresh healthy cucumber juice.Apply it on the affected areas and leave on for5 minutes.Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Natural Oils

  • Natural oils will retain the moisture of the skin and reduce the darkness of the skin.Apply any natural oil like olive oil, sesame seed oil or coconut oil on the skin to reduce the dryness and darkening of skin.
Lemon And Honey

  • Take the juice of one lemon and mix it with one tablespoon of honey Apply the mixture of lemon and honey on the affected areas and leave the mixture to act for at least 20 minutes Wash the mixture off with water to get the lightened skin.
