Winter is here, and for many people that means dry flaky and cracked skin. Many skincare experts advise switching to more moisturizing hair and skincare products during the blustery months to avoid these problems.Winter is the coldest and yet the most beautiful season of the year in some places. Winter is the time when the days are short and nights become very long and it is also the time when most of us enjoy a holiday traveling with family and friends or just curling up in bed with a favorite book and a piping hot cuppa. Perhaps some people won’t agree with this, because winter is also the time that aggravates medical conditions like arthritis and the freezing winter wind can turn our skin and hair dry, and render the scalp itchy. Skin Care Tips For Winter Season

(1). Overnight Moisturize


  • Dryer areas like hands, feet, elbows, and knees have thin skin and tend to lose moisture faster than other areas on the body. Consider slathering on a deep moisturizing balm Skin Food by Weleda at night, then wear cotton gloves and socks to seal in the moisture until morning.

(2).Wash in Lukewarm Water


  • Hot showers and baths always feel good in the winter, but when you can, particularly when just washing your face or hands, choose lukewarm water to avoid stripping as many oils away from the skin.

(3).Glycerin And Rose Water


  • Take glycerin and rosewater. Mix it in 1:10 . Shake well to mix it properly. Massage this all over your body before going to sleep at night. Everyday massage of this rosewater glycerin helps to make your skin moisturized, soft and supple.

(4).Cocoa Powder


  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder 1/4 cup honey 2 Tbsp cream or plain yogurt or sour cream 3 tsp oats into a blender, and blend until smooth. Apply to clean, dry skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

(5).Chocolate Mask


  • Give your skin a chocolaty texture by applying a chocolate mask. You need to make a mixture of 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of mashed avocado and about 4 tablespoons of honey. Apply this mixture on your face and body in order to have a soft and glowing skin as it will also help to reduce marks and blemishes from the skin.

(6). Almonds Oil 


  • Take Milk bath at least once in a week because milk bath make your skin soft and clean. Take bath tub full of water now add 1 cup of dry milk, 1 to 2 tsp almond oil and 10 drops of orange juice in it. Now sit in this solution for 5 minutes.

(7).Avocado Pulp 


  • Mash the pulp of an avocado into a smooth paste. Rub the paste all over your dry skin. Let it sit on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. Repeat the process once daily.Mash one-half of a ripe avocado and stir in one-half cup of honey. Apply the mixture on your dry skin and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Apply this hydrating face mask once or twice a week. Do not use more often than that.You can also drink a glass of an avocado smoothie daily to increase your intake of healthy fats that will help keep your skin hydrated and moisturized.

 (8).Egg Yolk 


  • Egg yolk is another very popular home remedy for dry skin. Make a face pack using yolk of 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of milk powder and 1 teaspoon of honey. Apply this paste on the face and all the dry areas. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash it off with regular tap water.

(9).Honey

  • Rub some honey all over your face and body and sit for 10 minutes. Then, take a shower. You will come out with a soft glowing skin, which will remain glowy throughout the day.
