2. Water

  • Water is the best therapy to flush out infection. Even in normal case one should drink about 8 glasses of water in a day. If you are suffering from UTI you should increase your water intake to help clean the system. Water will increase the flow of urine and it will help to wash away the bacteria.

3. Baking Soda

  • Stir the baking soda into the water until it dissolves, and then drink the whole glass. Do this first thing in the morning. Don’t do this for more than a week, or if you are trying to avoid salt, since baking soda is high in sodium.

4. Blueberries

  • Rinse your 1_2 cups fresh berries and enjoy them daily. They make the perfect addition to just about any breakfast; I absolutely love them in oatmeal.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water. You can also add lemon juice and sweeten with honey. Mix it well.Drink this two times a day for a few days.

6. Pineapple

  • Eating a cup of pineapple on a regular basis can help prevent UTIs. You can also make juice from half a pineapple and drink it. It is best to use fresh pineapple because the canned version may contain preservatives.

7. Green Cardamom

  • You can take green cardamom powder with milk to treat urinary tract infection. Green cardamom and milk have cooling properties that help to give relief from burning sensation. Along with above mentioned remedies pomegranate juice and watermelon juice are also beneficial for UTI.

8. Lemon 

  • Stir cream of tartar into ½-1 cup of warm water. Add a dash of lemon or lime juice, and drink 1-2 times a day. This can also help prevent UTIs when taken daily.
